Making arty envelope
In this lesson, we will explore a creative way to repurpose old mailing envelopes by using prints of your artwork to add a pop of color and personality. Upcycling old envelopes not only reduces waste but also allows you to create unique and thoughtful gifts for your loved ones.
To begin, gather your old mailing envelopes and select a piece of artwork that you would like to use for this project. It could be a rainbow painting we created together, a drawing, a photograph, or even a digital design. Cut out a section of your artwork that fits the size of the envelope, making sure to leave some extra room around the edges for a clean finish. Once you have your artwork ready, carefully glue or tape it onto the envelope, ensuring that it is securely attached. You can also get creative by incorporating other design elements such as washi tape, stickers, or stamps to enhance the overall look.
